What's coming up at the Village Hall... BRADFLIX is restarting in September for the new winter season. Activities planned at the hall over the coming months are as follows: Sat Apr 18, 2026 Family Film - 3.00 pm: Zootropolis 2 (PG) Now official ZPD partners, Judy Hopps and Nick Wilde face their toughest challenge yet as a mysterious reptile, Gary De'Snake, arrives in the city. Tasked with tracking him down, the duo must go undercover in new districts like the swampy Marsh Market and the snowy Cliffs of Copenhoofen. Their investigation uncovers a deep conspiracy involving the wealthy Lynxley family and the forgotten history of Zootopia's reptile population. As the case pushes their partnership to breaking point, Judy and Nick must reconcile their differences to expose the truth and prevent the city from being divided by old prejudices. Sat Apr 18, 2026 Evening Film - 7.00 pm: Song Sung Blue (12A) Based on a remarkable true story, Song Sung Blue follows Mike (Hugh Jackman), a recovering alcoholic Vietnam veteran, and Claire (Kate Hudson), a hairdresser and part-time performer, in 1980s Milwaukee. After meeting backstage, the two form a romantic and creative partnership, channeling their shared passion into a Neil Diamond tribute act known as "Lightning and Thunder". As they rise from dive bars to regional success, their bond is tested by deep personal tragedies, including a life-altering accident and health crises. The film is a poignant exploration of resilience, the indomitable human spirit, and the power of music to bridge the gap between ordinary lives and extraordinary dreams. Fri May 08, 2026 Live Music - Doors: 7.15 pm: Your Song: Elton John, by John Reilly and Lewis Nitikman. Singer-songwriter John Reilly is delighted to be returning to the Village Hall in beautiful Bradfield to play 'Your Song' with pianist and composer Lewis Nitikman. This concert, celebrating the songs of Elton John, has been wowing audiences throughout the country, it's 100% live music, it's NOT a tribute, so no dressing up, no miming and no backing tracks. Just two consummate professionals celebrating amazing, timeless songs, performed from the heart with passion and musical excellence. “Your Song” has recently performed at the Epstein Theatre Liverpool, Alexander’s Chester, Acapela Studios, Cardiff, Kirkgate Arts Centre Cockermouth, The Goods Shed, Tetbury, Chapel Arts Centre Bath, Pizza Express The Pheasantry Chelsea and most recently at Alnwick Playhouse and Masham Town Hall, all ending with standing ovations as the guys celebrate these fabulous songs in their own unique style. Tickets: £17.50 (Online or at Flask End Cafe) BRADFLIX is the "film club" of Bradfield Village Hall. Please so come along, enjoy the relaxed community atmosphere and add your voice to what we watch!
